We provide care online through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform, offering flexibility, privacy, and easier access from a comfortable setting. We currently see patients anywhere in Maryland or Virginia. - Transparent, flexible fees
We do not accept insurance and use a sliding-scale fee structure so your fee matches your income. We also provide documentation for out-of-network insurance reimbursement when available.

Dr. Alison Athey is the founder of The Mental Health Care Multiplier and a licensed clinical psychologist providing evidence-based mental health care to adults through a primarily virtual practice. She combines extensive clinical training with her work as a mental health researcher and clinical trainer to offer care that is thoughtful, practical, and grounded in science. Her approach is also shaped by lived experience , reinforcing her commitment to care that is respectful, personalized, and genuinely helpful.
